Rio Hardy Poker Run

Congratulations to everybody involved in the 2026 Rio Hardy Poker Run held on Memorial Day weekend!! The 2026 Poker Run raised over $10,000 for the River Fund. Although money from the River Fund is occasionally used for maintenance projects that benefit the entire river community (water testing, removing dangerous river debris, etc.), the majority of the money is donated to local charities on an annual basis.

Now it’s time to start thinking about the 2027 Rio Hardy Poker run! The 2027 Poker Run will be taking place May 30, 2027 along five stops on the Rio Hardy and concluding with a party, raffle and more at Mosqueda Cantina. The theme of the 2027 Rio Hardy Poker Run is DECADES! Pick your favorite decade and dress like you’re lost in it!

As we did last year, we will be pre-selling wristbands, raffle tickets and apparel starting in the spring of 2027. Please purchase your wristbands, raffle tickets and apparel in advance so that we can spend more time enjoying Mexico on Memorial weekend. Not only will apparel items be discounted by $5 if you buy online, but there will be a very limited number of apparel items available after that date.

Paige Williams and Kaley Duff will be heading up the planning yet again, so let them know if you would like to volunteer, donate or if you have a suggestion to make this the best Rio Hardy Poker Run ever! We are still looking for someone to film and edit a video of the event, so hit us up if you can help with that.

We are still looking for someone to film and edit video of the event!! Jamie Williams had a great three-year run creating Rio Hardy Poker Run videos and you can see the results below. David Williams was able to piece together something for 2026 with a very cool custom Rio Rodeo song. Our goal is to bring back this tradition, but we’re going to need help. Any volunteers willing to shoot and/or edit some video?
