2026 Rio Hardy Poker Run

We have finalized the five stops on this year’s Rio Rodeo Poker Run taking place at the Rio Hardy on Sunday, May 24. We’d like to thank the Medley/Pearson, Garza/O’Hara, Coultrup/Madden/Morgante, Strong/Johnson and Fears camps for stepping up for this amazing event and charity for 2026.

The Rio Rodeo Poker Run Store is officially live, so we encourage you to go there to get your entries, raffle tickets and Rio Rodeo apparel! We’re trying to pre-sell everything online so that there’s less handling of money down at the river. We cut off the pre-sales of apparel on May 11, but since we ordered a few extras, you’re still able to buy limited sizes and colors on the Rio Rodeo Poker Run Store. And don’t forget to use the links at the top of the page to see the great giveaways in the raffle and to view the full schedule for the day.

Paige Williams and Kaley Duff are heading up the planning this year. The Rio Hardy Poker Run is a charitable event and all profits go to the River Fund. That money is then donated to local Mexicali charities to help out our community. As much as the organizers enjoy this labor of love, it takes a lot of effort from a lot of people to pull it off. They need as much help as they can get from the community, so we’re asking you to get involved. Whether it’s hosting a stop, handing out shirts, selling wristbands, recruiting sponsors, getting donations, decorating, running errands, organizing awards, ranking poker hands or anything else we come up with, we would appreciate it!

We are still looking for someone to film and edit video of the event!! Jamie Williams had a great three-year run creating Rio Hardy Poker Run videos and you can see the results below. Our goal is to bring back this tradition, but we’re going to need help. Any volunteers willing to shoot and/or edit some video?
