Rio Hardy
Cornhole Cup

Congratulations to everybody involved in the 15th Annual Rio Hardy Cornhole Cup held over Labor Day weekend. The 2025 Rio Hardy Cornhole Cup raised $5,049 for the River Fund. Although money from the River Fund is occasionally used for maintenance projects that benefit the entire river community (water testing, removing dangerous river debris, etc.), the majority of the money is donated to local charities on an annual basis.

Now it’s time to start thinking about the 2026 Rio Hardy Cornhole Cup! The 2026 Cornhole Cup will be taking place Sunday, September 6 at Mosqueda Cantina.

As we did in 2025, the Rio Hardy Cornhole Cup is going blind! We’re going to run the Advanced division as a blind draw. That means each Advanced player will sign up as a single player and we will randomly partner each entrant with another Advanced player. This will be a double-elimination tournament, so your team has to lose twice before you go home.

And don’t forget the team draw party at Guzman’s Cantina on Friday night at 7:00! For the Advanced blind draw we need to pull names from a hat to pair up the teams for Sunday’s big event, so we thought we’d do it with the Guzman family and whatever players want to show up to see who their partner will be!! If you don’t make it to the party, be sure to check this website on Saturday to see who your partner will be.

The Novice division will run as it has in the past with each player signing up with the teammate of their choice. This will be a double-elimination tournament, so your team has to lose twice before you go home. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE NOVICE DIVISION IF YOU ARE NOT A NOVICE PLAYER. SANDBAGGING IS FROWNED UPON AT THE RIO HARDY CORNHOLE CUP!!

As we get closer to the event, we’ll have links here for sign-ups, raffle and entries, so be sure to bookmark RioHardyHub.com.

David Williams is heading up the planning of this year’s event, so let him know if you would like to volunteer, donate or if you have a suggestion to make this the best Cornhole Cup ever!
